J Taylor
Antiques
J Taylor Antiques was founded in London, England, in 1979.
Working initially as restorers, we expanded to buying period furniture at provincial estate auctions and selling through the London auction market.

In 2002, the company relocated to Canada and opened our first retail store on Locke Street, Hamilton, however, we continued to source nearly all our stock from the same English auction houses and certain highly reputable Home Counties dealers.
...In 2017, we relocated our head office (and home) to Brantford, Ontario, while continuing to maintain the retail premises on Locke Street.

Due to the road works and closures on Locke Street in 2019, we set aside space for a showroom at our Brantford head office, ultimately replacing the Locke Street store altogether. We still make regular buying trips to Europe and our stock is still of the same high quality that our customers have come to expect since our move to Canada in 2002.
