A rare George III supper table of wonderful quality and originality.
This piece is included in David Nickerson's book, "English Furniture",
and represents the highest quality of these tables.
The table is made of figured mahogany, wenge, kingwood and likely ebony. The wire mesh
enclosing the bottom area is gilded and the locks and pulls are
original. The oval large inlays are reminiscent of Ince and Mayhew and
all of the elements of the table are of the highest quality.
