RADA GREG (Canadian, 1941-)
Calgary Stampede, 1976
Oil on canvas
Measurements 16“ x 26”
Rada Greg came to Canada from her native Yugoslavia in 1975. She began painting Canadian landscapes and life in cities and communities. She would paint several perspectives of the same image to include different details.
The use of bright colours in her images highlight a complexity of subject matter and detail.
Rada’s work was exhibited in the Toronto Primitive Show in 1984 and her works can be found in the Toronto Archives, The Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, The University of Alberta, and many private collections
