George III inlaid mahogany bow-fronted chest of drawers, England, circa 1810
A very handsome bow-fronted Georgian chest of drawers in mahogany, exhibiting exceptional colour and grain, as well as being of fine and accommodating proportions.
The richly figured case showing a satinwood strung top over 2 short drawers, above two tiers of full width graduated drawers, all decorated with cock-beaded detail, satinwood & ebony stringing and fitted with later circular back-plates & ring pulls, brass escutcheons and lock mechanisms.
Raised overall upon splayed 'French' bracket supports flanking a serpentine skirt. In very good overall condition.
