Early colonization armchair
Chair from the beginning of colonization made by our first master cabinetmaker who came to settle here in New France. On page 371 of Palardy's book, we discover the first cabinetmaker in Quebec. The "La confrérie de Sainte-Anne". Mr. Pierre Morin would have been the first student of the brotherhood. There is an "M" engraved on the posts. With a twisted base with an H-shaped spacer, its seat is made of wood, in the backrest a painting showing us the European influence.

Chaise du début de la colonisation fabriquée par nos premiers maitres ébéniste venuent s'installer ici en Nouvelle-France À la page 371 du livre de Palardy on découvrent la première d'ébénisterie du Québec. La confrérie de Sainte-Anne. M. Pierre Morin aurait été le premier élève de la confrérie. On retrouve un "M" graver sur les montants. À piétement torsadé à entretoise en H, son assise est en bois, dans le dossier une peinture nous indiquant l’influence européenne.
