An Outstanding and Finely Proportioned William & Mary Walnut Chest of Drawers
England Circa 1700
The case showing a cross-banded & inlaid top above a pair of short drawers overtop three tiers of graduated full width drawers, all featuring marquetry motifs of foliage, fruiting vines and game birds within oval lozenges and fitted with later but stylistically correct drop pulls. The sides showing inlaid oval panels within cross-grained spandrels, raised overall upon a later bracket-shaped base. Dimensions, 35” high x 34.5” wide x 19.5” deep.
