ANCIENT ROMAN SHIPWRECK AMPHORA circa AD 100
 
Exceptional authentic sea-salvaged Roman shipwreck amphora circa 100 AD. Heavily-encrusted terra cotta.
Seated within a modern iron display stand. The amphora is 2 feet tall and 16" in diameter. Total height with stand is 26". This amphora was pulled from the depths of the Mediterranean by a German diver in the 1970's. The previous owner was kind enough to provide me photographic provenance from the diver's hand-written log, which will also be given to its new owner upon purchase.
