An American tall case clock with a brass dial signed “Thomas Crow, Wilmington,” provisionally dated circa 1780–1800. The walnut case features a broken-scroll pediment, turned bonnet columns and an applied decorative panel to the lower section.
The Chippendale-style case retains an aged finish believed to be original, with a rich surface patina that highlights the walnut grain. The signed brass dial includes a calendar aperture, while the clock houses a two-weight striking movement.
An early American grandfather clock with a distinctive architectural case and a Wilmington, Delaware maker’s signature.
