LOUIS XV STYLE FOOTSTOOL
Original finish mahogany veneer over pine with original seat frame with horse hair and excelsior stuffing. Newer upholstery.
Attributed to Quebec, early 19th C
This Louis XV style footstool is dramatized by the shaped curveliniar seat rail extending down through the legs to the floor. The knees of the legs are extended in a minimalist shell form.
