Rousselet Art Deco Necklace
High fashion 1930s Art Deco period Gripoix glass beaded necklace
designed by Louis Rousselet of Paris. A 15.5" choker style necklace
dripping with hand-poured glass beads attached to metal wire-work flower

Augustine Gripoix was a well-known glassblower who refined the technique
for making these lamp-work beads. High-end firms the likes of Dior,
Chanel, Givenchy and Balenciaga have incorporated this method into their
haute couture costume jewellery lines. Rousselet pieces are
highly-regarded and have been sold by high-end luxury auction houses
such as Christie's.
