Well-carved standing polar bear by Simeonie Uppik (1928-2008) of
Sanikiluaq. Dated 1976. Last name sometime spelled Apik. A large and
imposing carving with fine detail, particularly to the face. Pristine
condition. 10" in height. Uppik's work was represented in over 20
galleries and exhibitions throughout Canada and the United States.
