A Very Handsome 18th Century Copper Wine Cistern / Cooler, Netherlands Circa 1750
   
The bellied oval copper body with a rope-twist edge & rivet-mounted brass grotesque masks fitted with shaped brass carrying handles, raised overall upon a conforming stepped base atop a copper-clad foot with a rope twist edge. 
 
Dimensions, 9.75” high x 16.5” wide (17.5” across the handles) x 12” deep.
