A Queen Anne bureau bookcase, ca. 1705 in walnut and figured walnut.
The mirrored top opening to numerous slots, pigeon holes and drawers, all of the finest quality veneers and workmanship.
The bottom with a slant front of matched veneers opening to a arrangement of drawers and slots with a well that has a sliding top. The top also has two candle slides. The bevelled glass mirrors have a sunburst on the top of each and likely are not original, but matching the original. The bun feet are replacements as are the finials, which likely match the originals.
The piece is of the finest quality with oak and deal being the secondary woods. The drawer brasses are a replacement, in a 1730 style.
This wonderful piece is in excellent condition with only some cracks in the veneer in the sides of the bottom.
