A George I bullet teapot of wonderful quality. The teapot is marked on the bottom and inside of the lid with the makers mark for John Eckfourd Junior, Entered 23/6/1725. (Arthur Grimwade,London Goldsmiths 1697-1837, pg 98, No. 1269) There are no other marks, but the teapot is period and has a wonderful armorial. The teapot is quite small, correct for the period as tea was extremely expensive. The pot is 12.2 cm tall at top of handle.
