A set of four 18th century Belgian Rococo silver candlesticks, Ath, 1766 & 1768
The pairs are made in Ath 1766, and 1768, by different makers.
 
Four silver candlesticks in rococo style with removable nozzles. The candlesticks have a profiled base with a twisted baluster shaped stem. The candlesticks are nicely marked with makers’ mark AD and ND, city mark of Ath, provincial mark of Henegouwen (Belgium), year letter and a tax mark for large silver objects.
These candlesticks are in excellent condition.

Makers mark AD ; most likely for Antoine Joseph Delporte (fl.1760-1771)

City mark: Ath (Belgium)
Dimensions: height 25 cm excluding nozzles; diameter nozzles 6.5cm
Weight: 292 and 296 grams
