George III Triple-lock Strongbox In Mahogany

Oval brass plate engraved "Wolverhampton". Stout steel hinges & robust construction. Each keyhole numbered, 1 to 3. Presumably, for security purposes, it took 3 people to lock & unlock the box. A triple lock chest by Thomas Chippendale's 2nd cousin,William, was supplied to the village school at Burnt Yates. Original carrying handles.
