Rooster weathervane – Girouette chanticler
 
A Quebec full bodied rooster weathervane hand crafted in tin, circa 1850, likely from a church steeple.
Due to the rain, wind and snow over 100 years the belly was repaired sometime mid-20th century when the current paint was applied.
A folky weathervane with great form.
