WORKING HAND-CRAFTED FRENCH CANNON MODELS
 
Phenomenal quality hand-crafted working cannon models with carriages believed to have been made sometime in the mid-20th century. These are nicely-scaled pieces patterned after the late 18th century French artillery line cannons as used in the Battle of Waterloo era.
The previous owner stated that these working models were found in Quebec.
Each cannon is solid cast brass 16.5" barrel features a 1" bore. The carriages are hand-made from hardwood with spoked wheels and hand-forged hardware. The wagon-style wheels are made to exact wheelwright standards with attention to detail and scale. It's obvious there has been an exceptional amount of work put
into these pieces. The overall size of each cannon with carriage quite substantial -- the total length together is 31" and width is 16".
