Mid 18thc walnut Louis XIII style chest of drawers with 3 drawers, in Jean Palardy's book on page 295, said that this style of chest of drawers would have begun after 1750 in Canada. It is the ancestor of the crossbow chest of drawers. The forged hardware is original. This chest of drawers was featured on the cover of The Canadian Antique & Vintage magazine in March 2019.
