An impressively large & finely constructed model of a racing yacht, crafted in finely grained Honduran mahogany, the main deck banded with contrasting detail, the metal keel painted black.
Its base affixed with a brass plaque with the following inscription...
LOANED TO THE OFFICERS MESS R.C.O.C. T.C BY COL. N.C. SHERMAN, JAN 1941.
Dimensions, 10.5” high x 49” wide x 9.25” deep.

Colonel Norman Clarence Sherman, (1888-1971) OBE CD Royal Canadian Ordinance Corps
In honour of Col. Sherman, the 12th Service Battalion Museum in Richmond British Columbia was renamed The Colonel Sherman Armoury.
