A Very Handsome 18th Century George III Mahogany Writing Table / Sofa Table, 
England Circa 1775                    
The figured solid mahogany top above a satinwood strung frieze housing twin drawers retaining their original brasses and raised overall upon four satinwood strung supports terminating to cuffed feet. Of fine proportions and displaying a very old surface exhibiting exceptional colour and a fine mellow patina. The top showing areas of wear, including an old repair to a separation that has now been professionally conserved & stabilized as illustrated in the images of its top & underside.
