A rare George I sterling silver ‘Rat Tail’ marrow scoop, William Spackman, London 1721            

Showing an elongated scoop at one end of the flattened stem, and a narrow tapering scoop at the opposing end. The underside of the stem bearing London hallmarks with date letter for 1721 and partially rubbed makers marks for William Spackman (working 1712 - 1726). The underside of the larger bowl showing a ‘rat tail’ heel.

Length, 8.5”. Weight, 40 grams.
