Fine and early slant front desk with strongly figured and solid tiger maple primary wood throughout.  It is likely from the same workshop as plate 225 in Donald Websters “Early Canadian Furniture of the Georgian Period”.  While Webster suggests an Ontario origin, we can make a stronger argument for Quebec due to the overall refinement.

W41 x D20 x H43

Provenance:
-A long family history in Canada dating back to about the turn of the century
-Acquired from above by a long time Ottawa collector in the 1970s.
