WM. IV MAHOGANY WRITING STAND  
 
A particularly fine solid mahogany William IV period writing table, offered referred to as a invalid stand, as these were designed to be used while in bed or seated in a chair. Heavy gadrooned column with a large writing surface fitted with lift-up storage compartment and raisable bookstand. Mounted on brass casters for ease of movement.
The top surface measures 19" x 36" and the height is adjustable with a simple pin and rachet system.
