A fine early 19th century George IV period writing table / sofa table in rosewood, the richly figured frame showing a replaced gilt-tooled dark green leather top featuring an elevating reading platform, overtop a frieze fitted with three small drawers retaining their original functioning locks, raised on twin flattened supports braced by a finely turned stretcher, terminating to replaced cupped feet with recessed brass castors. Exhibiting exceptional graining & colour overall and refinished with a fine ‘French’ polish.
