Canadian Silver Shooting Trophy won by Major William Henry Cotton in 1873.
 
Note: Major Cotton 1848 - 1914
A long military career starting in 1866. First a Lieutenant in the  Quebec Garrison Artillery, then Captain and by 1881 a Major. 
 
Part of a rifle team to Wimbledon in 1878,  winning 2nd place.
In 1895 was Inspector of Artillery for Ontario among other important posts.
