This large mother and child was carved in Mattiusi's (Matthewsie) older style.   The body is carved in stone with minimal detail with a row of etched dots outlining parka trim.  In contrast, the inset faces of Mother & Child are carved of antler with charming expressions.  Mattiusi also inscribed a narratives on the bottom.
