Attractive landscape painting representing an old farmstead around Vichy, known as the "Route des Chossins". Oil on hardboard, signed in the lower corner right. Original Montparnasse style frame.


Jean Joly was born in Vichy (Allier) on 12 October 1900 and died in the same city on 1 September 1952. A decorative painter and president of the "Compagnons de la Peinture", he painted mainly landscapes of Bourbonnais and Auvergne.
