An outstanding one piece glazed stepback cupboard in a wonderful state of preservation from the Ottawa Valley, Ontario, second quarter 19th C
 
This cupboard features exceptional original ochre paint, surface and hardware 
 
The cabinet maker has refined this piece with the use of architectural mouldings around the cupboard and a scalloped frieze above the glazed doors
 
The top shelves have plate rails and behind the cornice is a hidden compartment  which extends the length of the top 
 
The cupboard retains its original height with no damage or repair
