A late 19th Century silver 3 section cigar case, hallmarked O M for Oomersi Mawji of Bhuj  from the Kutch region of India (now named Gujerat) 
 
Measuring 5.25 x 2.5 x 1 inch, weighing 162 grams.
 
Oomersi Mawji and sons are widely known for their fine quality silverwork.
Appointed Royal Silversmith to the Maharaja of Kutch.
Considered by many to be greatest Indian silversmith of the 19th Century.
 
Founded in 1860 and ceasing operations in  the 1930's
 
Note: Silver content was typically 95 to 98 % as it was easier to manipulate.
